Auto rickshaw, called tuk-tuk in Thailand, is a widely used form of urban transport in Sri lanka. It is an unmistaken sight of raws of three wheelers in any crowded place or bus halt,The name is onomatopoeic, mimicking the sound of a small (often two-cycle) engine. Easy to drive , fuel economy, and also the ability to travel into almost to any corner where other vehicles cannot reach are some of the reasons for wide spread usage of a ‘ tuk-tuk’.
