Kotmale reservoir had demolished a number of temples in construction . Later one majestic pagoda was erected at one of the most important point on a hill top. It restated the value of Kotmale once vanished Mahaveli maha seya the pagoda became one of the tourist attraction as it nourished the sight of Kotmale reservoir.
