Description
Idalgashinna railway station is 68th station on the Main line of the ‘Sri Lanka railways’ . Allegedly one of the most scenic treks in the country, along the railway tracks from the Idalgashinna Station to the Ohiya Station. located between Haputale and Ohiya train stations in Badulla district in the Uva Province. It is at an altitude of 1,665.85 m and 240.28 km away from Colombo-Fort. The station was built after the track extended in 1893, from Nanuoya to Haputale as part of the Main line. Mostly veiled in mist it is a dramatic and unmistakable sight.
