Sunday Fair

The village fair is a popular event among the villagers. It is a big fair that is held on Sundays. Villagers sell their produce such as fresh fruits and vegetables grown by them. Clothes and other fancy items are also sold at the village fair. Villagers can buy what they need and sell products at  a reasonable price.The pola  plays an important role in rural life in Sri Lanka. It is a meeting place for the community and also serves as the backbone of rural economies. A sizeable amount of retail trade takes place at village fairs.
